A new generation TDMA system
¨C Linkway was introduecd to domestic market by LMGT
and Wancom Ltd.
LMGT is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation, which is a
highly diversified global enterprise that principally
researches, designs, develops, manufactures and
integrates advanced technology systems,
products and
services.
LMGT Products Division
(formerly COMSAT Laboratories) is ISO-9001 certified and
has over 30 years of experience in developing innovative
technologies and products for seamless interconnection
of applications and networks over satellites using
commercially available off-the-shelf components.
LMGT
has annual revenues in excess of $1 billion dollars and
employs some 3,900 personnel worldwide, with major
operations in Behtesda, Maryland; Clarksburg, Maryland;
Orlando, Florida; and Valley Forge,
Pennsylvania.
The LINKWAY is a multicarrier,
multi-rate, TDMA with independent TX and RX modem
operation system. It can support star or mesh topologies
on the same platform with a single satellite hop. It can
also supports demand assigned packet-and-circuit
switched and global and spot-beam connectivity etc.
The
Linkway demo has been set up at Wancom¡¯s laboratory.
Some typical applications can be demonstrated including
VPN, IP networking, videoconference and voice
communication.
