Broadband
High-speed Multimedia Broadcasting
We can't imagine what the
world would look like if we have no broadcast system.
TV sets and radios are two of the most important media
by which we get information. Our needs for information
are exploding everyday as we get closer and closer to
the age of information. The information of stock market,
currency market, industry supply and demand, transportation,
travel and others are swelling quickly. Traditional video
and Audio broadcast are replacing by multimedia information
broadcast systems to distribute information that is combined
by video, audio, image and data.
The satellite communications transmit information via
geosynchronous satellites. It has the advantages of having
no geographical constrain, wider coverage, and shorter
cycle of establishment.
In accordance with different needs from different users,
Wancom provides a solution for the broad band multimedia
information broadcast system--the High Speed Satellite
Multimedia Broad Band Broadcast (IPCast) System. This
system is specially designed for flexible, full-digital
broad band multimedia applications and is optimally suited
to meet the customer's needs. It provides many integrated
services such as video, audio, news, image, and computer
file, etc.
The High Speed Satellite Multimedia Broad Band Broadcast
(IPCast) System conforms to the DVB-S standard. It replays
and broadcasts information--audio/video, image, voice,
data (IP, synchronous, asynchronous). With a CAS (Condition
Access System), users can selectively receive the programs
they are interested in, for example, digital television,
real-time stock market/currency market quotes update.
It also helps in high-speed access into the INTERNET,
video-on-demand, downloading music and software, etc.
The High Speed Satellite Multimedia Broad Band Broadcast
(IPCast) System consists of a set of upward broadcasting
unit, a set of downward receiving unit, and application
program. It allows real-time broadcasting and memory transmitting.
Users can activate the net at a low speed while do the
transmission at a high speed up to 45Mbps.
The High Speed Satellite Multimedia
Broad Band Broadcast (IPCast) System can set up and
manage more than 8,000 specific "virtual"
channels to transmit various services.
