High-Speed Communication Trunk
Systems using SCPC-PAMA and MIDAS can perform medium to
high speed trunk communication. In case of SCPC-PAMA,
a user needs pre-assign traffic channels to form leased
lines among each site. It can prevent traffic collision
caused by any other points and keep real-time data communications.
The SCPC has the following features:
Approaching
100% of communication efficiency
Transparent,
compatible with almost all protocols, such as
¡¡TCP/IP£¬SDLC£¬X.25, etc.
Easy
service expansion: image, fax, data, etc.
No
time delay in establishing links
Unattended
feature
High
reliability
No
channel collision and competition happen
The SCPC-PAMA Satellite Communication System may be extended
into MIDAS(Mutimedia Integrated Digital Access System),
which supports data, voice and other integrated services.
MIDAS can manage the bandwidth on demand with an advanced
satellite source assignment scheme, i.e. DAMA-BOD. It
adds DAMA function to the original medium and high-speed
PAMA trunk line, and flexibly assigns satellite transponder
bandwidth and power according to actual service needs,
therefore significantly saves satellite resources.
MIDAS allows various network topological structures, such
as star network, multi-tier star network, mesh network
and composite net. It can assign circuit based on pre-assignment,
schedule and on demand. MIDAS is highly reliable, robust,
and less possible to happen the whole-net paralysis. BOD
is a fully developed and reliable technology that is highly
practical and easy expansion. Therefore the MIDAS is ideally
suitable to handle voice, videoconferencing, medium and
high speed data communications on-demand, congestion reduction,
automatic circuit restoral, etc..
MIDAS has the following major features:
High
reliability and robostness
Flexible
topological structure, star, multi-tier star, mest and
composite net
Flexible
and scaleable architecture: this system is easy to be
expanded and
¡¡reconfigured
Bandwidth
on-demand
Adminstrate
the whole network through NMS
Simplified
network management and control
TDM/TDMA
control channel and SCPC/FDMA traffic channel
Providing
interfaces such as V35, RS433, RS232, G.703, etc.
Circuit
priority and circuit preemption
LinkSync
including Automatic Frequency Control, Uplink Power Conrol
and
¡¡Circuit Power Management.
Supporting
point-to-point or point-to-multipoint video conferencing,
managing the
¡¡whole session, switching and selecting speaker, via a
touch screen.
Multi-Service
Integrated Platform.
