Frame Relay Product
The FRIDAS Satellite Frame Relay product combines frame
relay technology and digital satellite communication technologies,
consisting of the transmission of data, voice, fax and
image packaged into a service satellite communication
product. It applies series advanced technologies such
as satellite multiple access mode (for example, multiple
access per carrier wave, [MAPC]), voice compression, frame
relay transmission, etc..
This product has the following
features:
Supporting
various satellite communication network structures: star
or meshed network, etc.
supporting
various service integrating functions: integration of
LAN and WAN, data and voice
conforming
to frame relay standards, providing integrated solution
for data, voice and image
allowing
large capacity of two-way transmission of information,
with the export channels operating at up to 2Mbps
the
export channels apply TDM, thus allow statistic multiplexing
among multiple users, i.e. bandwidth can be dynamically
assigned among users in order to save transmitter frequency
and reduce the overhead of a network
supporting
communication links which operate at asymmetric transmitting
rate, where export rates are far more higher than that
of the import, this helps meet service requirements and
save frequency resource at the same time
Allowing
routing exchange, supporting protocols such as 802.ID,
STP, SRB, RIP or OSPF, IPXRIP, SAP, BootP transparent
bridging. A data interface may directly interface to users'
LAN without additional router and therefore save the overhead
Integrating
outstanding voice processors, using low rate compression
encoding (4.8K-8K). It also provides echo control and
quality voice. During a conversation, ordinary data communications
are generally not influenced and cause no additional channel
overhead
Applying
privilege classes of control. It sets different classes
for different types and privilege of services to ensure
the normal functions
Using
in conjunction with powerful network management systems
to perform smart management to networks. The advantage
of this system is the ease of installing, implementation
and maintenance.
