M&C System
The SatNMS-6000 satellite communication network management
system is a M&C/Circuit management system for the
integrated satellite communication network, it is intended
to satisfy the needs of large carriers running satellite
communication service. This system accomplishes M&C/Circuit
management of all earth sations in the satellite communication
network by ESC, PSTN, and DDN, etc.
The SatNMS-6000 operates on Windows 98 or Windows NT operating
system. It monitors and controls the real-time status
of the satellite communication equipment and assigns circuit
with a network management computer.

Main Functions of the System:
Manage
the satellite communication network through reading
the carriers sent by remote stations.
By using a satellite M&C modem in the network management
center to receive the carriers submitted from each station
in the satellite communication network, SatNMS-6000
can know the operating status of each earth station.
The SatNMS-6000 M&C modem locks carriers submitted
from each earth station on the satellite transponder
automatically and periodicaly. When troubles occurs
at earth station, the SatNMS-6000 will alarm in time,
and record the time and operating status of the earth
station at that time.
Manage
the satellite communication network via ESC channel-SatNMS-3000.
In this management mode, the operating status of all
equipment at every station is transmitted in the ESC
channel along with the traffic channel to the center
station. The center station where the SatNMS-6000 is
located uses satellite modems with the ESC channel to
lock the carriers from each remote earth station and
transmit/receive the M&C messagees. The operating
status messages obtained through ESC channel are processed,
displayed, stored by the SatNMS-6000 periodically. When
troubles happen, the SatNMS-6000 will alarm in sound
and color change to remind the operator to cope with
the faults in time.
Manage
the satellite communication network via telephone network(PSTN)
or DDN-SatNMS-1000.
SatNMS-6000 can M&C the satellite communication
network through PSTN or DDN. When the serious troubles
happen in the satellite communication network and cause
communication interuption, it is of a great advantage
to use terrestrial communication network independent
from the satellite communication network to accomplish
the M&C function.
Manage
the satellite communication network via the Internet-IE
access
Local user can visit the control and monitor system
via the WEB tools. Local visitor can exchange information
directly with the WEB server via the Internet. Users
can use Internet browsers such as Navigator or Internet
Explorer to visit the control and monitor system easily.
