Integrated
Service Multiplexer
The Integrated Service Multiplexer is a interface multiplexing
equipment that integrates data, voice, fax and LAN. It
can effectively transmit composite voice/fax and data
in a single line, thus reduce the cost of network communications
and save function overheads for enterprises.
The multiplexer is designed to have a modularized structure
that can be easily performed system design by specific
application and upgraded.
A user can choose a multiplexer with an integrated structure
or a plug-in-card structure. The equipment of different
sizes have different number of slots, and one can insert
different types of service card according to users' requirements.
The multiplexer system has the following features:
flexible
means of management:
front
panel monitor
ASCII
terminal
alarms
control by serial ports
network
management software
providing
combinations of various functions, flexible and easy to
be upgraded
supporting
LAN links
allowing
backup to improve reliability
low
cost, short delay, maximizing the use of existing bandwidth
while assuring normal
services
Trunk line output of the multiplexer has the following
features:
line
data rate at 9.6 to 1,536Kbps
various
interfaces available: V.35, V.36/V.11, RS-530, V.24/RS-232,
X.21, G.703, etc.
Data inputs of the multiplexer has the following features:
supporting
multiple asynchronous data inputs, operating at 300bps~64Kps
supporting
multiple synchronous data inputs, operating at up to 768Kbps
Voice and fax have the following features:
using
an advanced compression technology to provide high quality
voice and fax,
operating at 4.8Kbps-12.8Kbps
diversified
voice interfaces: FXS, FXO, 2/4 or E&M
in
case of full-configuration, supporting voice or fax channels
up to 180-wire
