Satellite
Transceiver
The Satellite Terminal is a C-band or Ku-band satellite
earth station terminal unit. It consists of a feed assembly
and an outdoor enclosure assembly. And meets all the requirements
of private and regional satellite networks. When using
in conjunction with modems, this Satellite Terminal can
easily establish middle or small size ground station.
This is ideal for both single and multiple carriers.
Feed
assembly: consisting of a Transmit Reject Filter (TRF)
and a Low Noise Amplifier (LNA);
ATRF provides receive system protection from transmit
energy fed back through the antenna feed system. The LNA
standard noise temperature depends upon Gain over Temperature
(G/T) requirements.
Outdoor
unit: including a Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA),
up/down converters , monitor and control microprocessors
and the power supply. To achieve the highest level of
stability, each module has separate temperature compensation.
The integrated microprocessor provides critical on-line
circuit testing and dynamic control. This powerful monitor
and control system allows users to locally or remotely
control many functions, to test and control all parameters
and status of RF subsystems. For example, output power,
frequency of the sending/receiving channel, etc.. In addition,
a microprocessor also controls an effective digital temperature
compensating system to ensure the stability of increment
within the range of temperature and frequency. The system
reports on the configurations of equipment and the detection
of faults on all the components of a terminal. It may
use a common ASCII/RS-232 terminal connected to the serial
port. A simple command set allows total configuration
control and retrieval of status information. If the indoor
unit is a more sophisticated station M&C computer,
a serial port can be set to RS-485 for bus operation.
The Outdoor RF Unit is so light and handy that it can
be easily mounted to the hat ring of a fiberglass antenna,
the mount of an aluminum antenna, or a large size antenna.
It also can be installed on a separate stanchion. This
unit joints the indoor modem and monitoring systems in
a simple and reliable way. The power supply is 110/220VAC
or -48VDC.
The Outdoor RF Unit has a weatherproof enclosure which
is rain-proof and snow-proof. It is adaptive to the environment,
works well no matter in summer or winter, mountain or
sea.
This unit has various sizes.
For
C-band frequency operation, it has 5W, 10W, 20W, 30W,
40W, 60W or more.
For
Ku-band frequency operation, it has 2W, 4W, 8W, 16W, 25W,
40W or more.
