        MIDAS， the satellite backup network and video conference  system  has been passed through ICBC’s acceptance test successfully, it is learned from MIDAS acceptance conference held on December11,2001 to December13,2001。

        ICBC is using  MIDAS satellite communication system ,manufactured by the Comtech EFData ,to support terrestrial link backup and video conference for branch banks around country。 Wancom has provided system design、project management and part of Engineering implementary work 。

        MIDAS is a SCPC/DAMA/BOD based system and a leading satellite communication platform。MIDAS provides an integrated solution for a host of applications that require wide area connectivity on demand。These applications include, but are not limited to, enterprise networking, congestion reduction, automatic circuit restoral(disaster recovery),ISDN, and group video conference。MIDAS is playing four key roles in ICBC communication network
