FRIDAS satellite frame relay communication system, which
is based on the so called "fast packet switching"
frame relay communication technology, is an integrated
service incorporating the transmission of data, voice,
fax and image. The arbitrarily distributed satellite land
earth stations (LES)with simple structure, unified standard,
low cost and flexible configuration can provide various
cost effective integrated services directly for the user,
and is especially suitable for intranet construction or
special communication network between the departments.

set up the star, mesh or hybrid network flexibly depending
on the service requirement of the user, as shows at the
following figure. The transmission of data, voice, fax
and image in the network can be completed with single
hop.

FRIDAS satellite frame relay communication system has
used a series of advanced technology, such as MAPC, voice
compression, frame relay, to decrease the bandwidth occupied
by the transponder greatly, and thus reduce the renting
expense. The main system features are listed as follows:
Network
management system
View2000 network management system, a powerful SNMP
product, uses
industrial standard HPOpenView based on Window' 95/NT
as the platform.
Incorporating with HPOpenView management software, SNMP
can virtually
manage any other platform for the user on a single network
management site,
and can enhance the management capability and decrease
the cost on the
network management platform.
View2000 is a NMS with complete functions. The network
management of
View2000 includes net data, voice transport, node configuration,
expanded
card, new software downloading, monitoring network data
via alarms.
View2000 stores the configured parameters into the database
at the same
time. Users can design and set up equipment, download
information when
computer is off-line. And it can generate many sorts
of report, including
confirm list, configure information and billing information,
etc.
